Just a heads-up: You mention that Radio advertising is much too expensive (I'd agree). However, you should check out any college radio stations in your area and ask about advertising rates. I just graduated from a Radio Broadcasting program here in Canada, and our station charged $5/play of a 30-second commercial, with hefty volume discounts.
Each college station will be different, but chances are they're reaching the right demographic (students/young people) and could be quite affordable.
