It's true, I've played EQ and recently City of Heroes, after those two games i've relized that shelling out cash permounth is just not worth it. Most of those games make you kill rats/bullies for the first few hours before anything even remotely fun starts happening. As for the mounthly fees, I personaly don't see the point. Look at games like the Ut series, new content is released daily for those games and since it's been out theres already been enough content for 2 bonus packs. The game is also primarily online. Now I think MMORPG's could benifit from UT's example: fun game, mostly online, lots of new content, no mounthly fees. Seriously half the time you get these new MMO's that come out unfinished and require you to patch the day you buy it.
I agree that seeing a new Marathon game would be something that every one, or at least all of us not noobs would like to see. I would also like to see the Marathon infinity files released into open source and a new verson of forge and anvil so I could actualy run Aleph one on my computer. Still though with the release of Doom 3 isn't it time for marathon 3. Of course there's no chance that Microsoft would let bungie release it on any thing but Xbox. Don't get your hopes up for any thing new from bungie yet, remember after this "break" they have to do the PC version of Halo 2.
Fact: Terrorisim is the act of Terrorizing people, people are terrorized when they are scared and when they let this fear affect their everyday life. Basicaly all that the fight on terror has done is create more government sanctioned Terrorists. Take for example the the color system: I wake up, do I think i'm going to die, no. I look at the mews paper ok threat level is orange, I think I'll take a personal day in my bunker. Actualy my school is doing a big discussion thing on the war on terror tommorow so I think I'll bring this up.
