I don't know about getting Linux running on the Xbox -- but I certainly wouldn't put it out of the reach of the NetBSD "people"

I couldn't agree with you more. It's gonna be hell for the people that buy Premium accounts.

I am an @Home customer, and I purchased a NewsGuy.com account, and download about 5-10GBytes/month in alt.binaires.* because @Home's NNTPd's are always incomplete.

    Uhhh ... I couldn't agree more.

I think the author of this question needs to question the time vs. money saved.

If one does do the time vs. money, you'll find that if you would of worked doing a "Security Guard" job (many available), at even a mere 7$/hr. One could afford a new power supply and case on just 1-shifts worth of work.

I am sure the author makes more than that, and by the time he asked this question, he could of purchased several already.

  4. Local CGI Execute in Mozilla on Mozilla.org Releases Protozilla · · Score: 1

Hey. I don't post too many comments, and generally like to keep my mouth shut. However, after seeing the title of this article for no more than 3 seconds, I thought of one *ingenious* thing.

When I think of "Local CGI executable" ; the word "exploit" comes to mind. I realize that it would *only* result in "user" access, because most people run their browser when logged in anything but "root" -- but still it concerns me.

I hope some of the guys from the OpenBSD project take a look at the code, so as not to release any remote-exploits due to a certain web-admin.

    That is all.
