The book was interesting and gritty, but didn't convey the atmosphere nearly as well as the movie. It was essentially just an iconic thriller novel.
Hopkins actually made Lecter a living and breathing character, who was convincing to the bone.
Is anyone else getting a bug where the golem becomes inactive? It seems very polished otherwise, but this problem (which i've gotten twice) is pretty glaring.
