    It's just much easier to keep stuff molten that melts at 97,72 C than playing with iron which melts at 1535 C...

    I hope the sprinkler system doesn't use water. Sodium reacts heavily with water and the emerging hydrogen would most probably cause a /huge/ explosion...

    actually it's more like this: microsoft is the 3vil empire and slashdot is somewhat like endor. microsoft claiming IP on the internet is the deathstar. May the source guide us.

    We still have IP over avian carriers, CPIP (carrier pigeon internet protocol) aka rfc 1149 (go read it up). It was successfully tested and works well enough to keep reading slashdot... http://www.blug.linux.no/rfc1149/

    PIII a dinosaur? LMAO! I'm running on a AMD K6 II @ 500mhz and it works fine! My dinosaur is a 286 laptop @ 16mhz w/ 4mb ram, though I can't find any version of linux to run on it (seems as if linux /needs/ 8mb to boot... damn) it's still ...usefull... running win3.11 and word 6 I can still do textediting/printing &stuff. Man, if I had a PIII... what a wonderful world

    i got an acient notebook with 16mhz and 4mb ram. it runs win3.11 and i can (and did it) run word 6 on it. runs fine and i see no significant difference to word2kprof except the standard prefs (tweak a bit and there no difference at all).

    before long you'll have to write only half of your program. the other half is predicted by some neat tool.

    Or imagine the possibilities for bookwriters. You write half an the rest is predicted based on your previous works. Seems as if some authors already use such a technique ;)
