    The only people who are sitting around and doing nothing in Washington, D.C., are your elected officials. This country has more pressing problems than renaming post officials and investigating manufactured scandals.

    the core2duo is a 64 bit processor.

    My 2006 MacBook has a Core Duo 32-bit processor.

    Will this run 64 bit linux even though the 2006 model wants a 32 bit loader?

    If you have a 64-bit processor, it should run a 64-bit OS. I have a 32-bit processor on my MacBook, so its limited to using a 32-bit OS.

    SO could you explain your process more and what state it leaves the mac in? dual boot? linux only?

    The process is trial and error. I did it once and that was enough for me. I have a dual boot configuration with Snow Leopard and Mint Linux. After installing the new booter, you might be able to boot from USB. I haven't tried it.

    You need to install the rEFInd Boot Manager. I was able to install Linux Mint from CD on my 2006 MacBook.

    Unless your Mac has a 32-bit processor. Apple and developers have stopped issuing updates for 32-bit software. A problem for my 2006 MacBook (black, of course). I can run 32-bit Linux and Windows 10.

  12. I had a boss who switched the ownership for his construction company from himself to his Native American wife, who also did the bookkeeping and answered phones. That little change opened up so many government construction contracts, as the state government was eager to promote minority-owned small businesses.

    Your employer forgot to check the setting to allow only one password change in a 24-hour period, which would defeat your Python script to defeat password history to maintain your desired password.

  16. I'm not so sold on the evils of writing passwords down as it requires the Evil Actor to have physical access in order to exploit it.

    That can be a problem in a corporate environment. I can't tell you how many times I've found a password written on a Post-It note that got taped to the monitor or underneath the keyboard. If the written password was inside a locked overhead cabinet or a wallet that someone carried, access to the network becomes a lot more difficult. Never mind that many Fortune 500 companies have policies against writing passwords down in the first place.

    Weirdly, in a way, you also just threatened him with his life, so he can call his lawyers and do the same.

    I did not threaten his life. I just told him of the legal consequences of his actions if he follows through on his threat on my life. The punishment for premeditated murder in some states is the death penalty. His attorney should instruct him not to make death threats on the Internet.

    I believe that WDC designs RED drives from 1 to 4TB for systems with 5 drives or less.

    WD RED drives are available in 6TB and 8TB. Regular drives are 5400RPMs with 64MB cache. Pro drives are 7200RPMS with 128GB cache.

    Hopefully the idiot will be you so that you can learn the difference between gross negligence and criminal intent.

    I have notified my attorney that you have threatened my life. If I should get run over in the near future, my attorney will have no problem persuading the authorities of your criminal intent. Expect to get the death penalty.

    Without "Criminal Intent" you have no criminal case.
