, rather a new method of creating frozen (bugfix only) kernels. IMHO it's a good idea, but I do have two questions:
1. Who's going to do it ? (ok that's redundant).
2. How long would they keep a frozen kernel updated ? You have to come up with some way to mark a final 2.x.y.z to show that it's the last of that line, and it's no longer maintained. Maybe have 2.x.y.finish, or 2.x.y.dead ? I feel you gotta draw the line somewhere, cause there won't be enough people to do it.
