I believe that AMD64 is the right way to go. Not just because I am an AMD guy, but because it is fair.

Hyper-Threading is really a poor-man's dual core. So why would anyone need Hyper-Threading when you actually have dual-core in the next 6 months?
SSE3 is actually useful, and as it has been pointed out, is coming very soon to AMD64.
