That was my first concern too... Unfortunately they seem not be usable for us glass users. Having -8 glasses myself, I can't see much anything if I don't wear these constantly...
Sorry, but these designers have lost a lot potential clients here. Sure they look kind kewl but they are useless to me (and many others).
This is for all of those who does not belive in Amiga. Just stop reading this area if you are not interested. After all these years I still have some hopes and belives to Amiga rising again.
And why I still belive and hope? Simply because I have seen better machine, used it and programmed IT. This my up-tp-date PC has a lot more CPU-power, memory, HD etc.. but it's just recently reached that original 1984-Amiga feeling of usability. With Amiga way, this days HW would break free and really fly.
Like in 84... No other reasonably affordable computer could offer those features. It really pushed envelope to limits. 90*ties was not so hot time on Amiga, perhaps it's time to make comback with attitude.
I'm having this problem. What OS/HW I should port some old Amiga software we have been made?
Problem is that Amiga platform is still used for certain type of scientifig reseach programs at the Universities and reserch labs. This environment contains special (self made) programming language with compiler and runtime systems.
What I'm looking for platform is... 1) Exact timig and direct control of picture and sound, I need to have 1-frame accurancy on displaying images on screen and couple ms accuranry on playing wave-files. 2) Ability to read and Timestamp (1ms accurancy is acceptable) user input. Usually 1-3 buttons. 3) Multi-tasking would be nice too.
Othervice HW reguirements (processor speed, memory, hd etc..) are not really demanding.. Old A1000 with hard drive could run these without problem.
I have been testing various PC-OS:es durin these years, but non of them seems to be GoodEnough for this application.
Any Ideas??? Each year it's coming more and more difficult to support these old machines (mainly A1000, A500, A2000).

Agree. Without those people and enthusiasm there won't be another Amiga. It was different, and it's gone... Pitty though... For a while I was dreaming on having a new Amiga, real new machine with right spirit and feeling.

It's 1:05 PM here in Finland and everything seems to be OK. No power outtages, no melted nuclear reactors, even network works.
Amazing. Happy new year.

IMHO they shoud first give away reasonable data
of they G4 machines for operating system porters.
After that, perhaps I would consider 'em OS
