  1. Re:OH NOES!!!1!!! on Judging The Apple 'Sweatshop' Charge · · Score: 1

The thing is, Keeping workers in these conditions is the norm relative to china. When you look at the big picture, what other commondity does china have to work with other then providing labor? If you removed all this from china, then they will want to fight other countries to gain power. Viscous cycle of life. The sleeping giant scenario would be adequately applied here if we change the system.

Ya, The thing is, Apple is just like any other corporation in the world. Without the cheap labor etc, they would charge ridiculous prices and would go out of business while others take over with their sweatshop products. This isn't an isolated incident, this is corporate culture.

It is exponential, and in math, exponential behavior usually leads to anomalies or impractical situations. when you map this behavior to real life, the know-how people will be able to change directions to eliminate the threat... take global warming for example and the train that can't run but only a few hours a day because of dramatic climate changes in Europe connecting to parts of the country. Change has to happen there, as a result of this climatic spike trend.

If this were true, I'm glad to see that it finally happened. Microsoft HAS the ability and power to fix this problem once and for all. Once they code windows to live in a world of spam and malware, then it will work fine. Eliminating it is really the only thing I had to troubleshoot, however, lucky for me, we just use deep freeze (faronics) here at my work.

we should get with the program as an industry and embrace compression schemes really. I've seen 700 MB div x files that look absolutely amazing to the point I couldn't tell the difference between it an a dvd on a 1024x768 resolution. Imagine taking the hd-dvd and compressing it to 4 gigs!! then we wouldn't have to use the new drives and have a war between them. I could handle putting an hd-dvd quality video on one dvd in div x. we have the technology to have the players decode the div x and current encryption... there is a few players now that do it already.
