We develop applications for health insurance (HIPAA compliant) at zeomega. These applications involve patients payors and providers alike so lots of PHI. we use FOSS platforms zope python ingres postgres mysql on linux runs like a champ , cuts down development time in half as python is easy to learn and program in. we used to do development on websphere before. not anymore. as far as .net goes ugghhh we dont want to wait for support on an 800 number helping some idiot thousands of miles away to fix his own bugs and dont even get me started on the security nightmare
