It's within the realm of possibility that some businesses routinely have $1000 cell phone bills. They may not want the bother of being in the middle of business and having the phone company stopping their service or pausing it for verification.
This is a very bad thing.
When this happens to me when I browse, it makes me do a double take and try to figure out how I goofed up the URL and ended at a squatters site.
The Europeans, Canadians, and the rest of the civilized world don't seem to have a problem with paying for it.
No such thing as a free lunch. The are many a horror story of Canada and waiting lists. Europe has issues with a stagnant economy, high unemployment, and high taxes. Not all the grass on the other side of the fence is greener.
The Constitution when it mentions General Welfare in no way envisioned government funded health care. I don't think the concept of government health care even existed in that time. Further the Consitition is (IMO) supposed to a strict brake on the Federal Governments size and power. The Federal Governments roles are enumerated with all other reserved to the states or people respectively.
Full Auto assault weapons are already banned (sorta). Everything else is single fire. E.g. a 'burst' is one round. Even if you lined 'em all up, you'd get only one or two with one bullet?
If someone punches you in the face, do you beat them to death with a crowbar? No, you punch them back. If someone pulls a knife on you, do you pull out your grenade launcher?
Once the knife comes out, you basically have to assume life and death. In this case, you make your opponent take up the unwise position of bringing a knife to a gunfight.
If the Ariadne is private, how is NASA blocking their development? As I understood it, the whole X-Prize thing was to be separate from Government slow downs such as you are stating.
Knew I guy who claimed something similar. I think his cell phone was on his desk and his computer would always do something 2 seconds before a phone call.
I think there might be something in that the blurb says "defualt" judgement. If the defendant doesn't show up, then the case automatically goes against him, no?
