Half a year ?? you must be exadurating.... oh, nope forgot people in australia have had the 360 here for about 3 months now.
But the reason for this is that supply could not keep up with damand in the states so we got shafted, i dont think that i being phased it is a problem either as this has happend with every console and is mainly why i dont buy them in the first place.
that the letters GT in the card name make it run faster. maybe if they add a x after it they could even topple Nvidia's cards once and for all..... or not.
