I happen to think it's a great idea. Unfortunately we have a lot of people in this country that underestimate what a hurricane can do. For them to be able to see it firsthand, that might prove something to them. I was in Charlotte during Hugo 10 years ago, and even as far inland as we were, we got hit HARD. To be completely honest I don't know what this is going to be like at the coast. I had vacation plans for Myrtle Beach this week, but it's under mandatory evacuation too. I respect this guy for what he's doing, enabling the rest of the world to view this spectacle of nature firsthand. So to all of you sitting in your cozy house somewhere well away from disasters like this, think twice before flaming the man.
IIRC, parody websites are allowed by this law, registering the domain and telling PETA "You have to pay us $1 trillion dollars" is not.
