You can add a button for History, "Bookmarks," etc much like what can be done in IE. I switched my parents to Firefox and they did not notice.
I informed them I was doing so (going behind a user's back and changing stuff around without warning is never good - they find that threatening and will definately go against any changes made.) They didn't notice at all even after informing them I would be making the changes..
Now all things relating to Firefox on their computer involve the little Comcast icon or the IE icon.
