If you look at the number of Enterprise companies using NetBackup, I think one would agree it is enterprise software. Yes, it has flaws for large enterprise infrastructure, but I don't think large Fortune 100 companies would be using it extensively if it weren't a useful "enterprise" product. I think the only reason Symantec has any real enterprise presence is because of their purchase of Veritas.
This either means that the username and password information in your settings.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the MySQL database server. This could mean your hosting provider's database server is down.
The MySQL error was: Too many connections.
Currently, the username is blogscio and the database server is localhost.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password? Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname? Are you sure that the database server is running? For more help, see the Installation and upgrading handbook. If you are unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your hosting provider.
fascism - A governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
1. We're not a dictatorship 2. Bush certainly isn't forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism 3. We're a capitalist society. The government doesn't control industry. 4. Nationalism isn't necessarily bad, unless it goes to extremes, which we haven't 5. I haven't seen any signs of racism in the current administration
I've dealt with the CWA (Telecom network wiring and such) before and the thing I remember is needing to get a few network wires plugged into switches, and it took half of a day in order to get 5 minutes of work done. I was on-site installing a product for my company, and had to twiddle my thumbs until they got it done (at $2000/day). I also had a little switch/hub in my bag and connected my laptop and the two systems I was clustering to the switch so I could have temporary connectivity. The guy I was working with said "I'm glad you are doing that. I'd get a grievance against me if I did it!"
NOT the type of organization I would want to work with! If Unions were widespread throughout IT, we'd probably be at twice the unemployment rate, and half of the GNP here in the US.
However, there are examples where deregulation is not necessarily beneficial to all. Here in Georgia, sales of Natural Gas has been deregulated. However, in my opininon, it's a total CF for Joe Consumer. There still exists a centralized organization that provides the gas, but different companies (AKA Gas Marketers) "sell" the gas. There is a monthly "pass-through" to the centralized gas company to the tune of $17-35 just for the priveledge of having Natural Gas, plus a "Customer Service Charge" of $6.00. So, back in October, when I used 2.1 Therms (210 cubic feet of gas), the charge for the gas itself was $2.31, but the total bill was $28.77. Before deregulation, my bill might have come to about $5.00. It may be beneficial to those who use a lot of gas (i.e. businesses) but Joe Consumer gets screwed!
Keep in mind that AOL started out as a Mac only service. I was a charter member back in the late 80's. Granted, I got rid of them in the mid-90's
On the original subject, Microsoft HAS acted in non-competitive ways, and it's been proven in more than just Europe. Oh, and the lawsuits from Sun, etc. started before they started losing money.
Yes, historically, the Mac was more expensive, but not any longer. However, many of the features that you see in Windows these days were pioneered on the Mac years earlier.
Kernel recompiles???? Try cleaning your registry after spyware has infected it!
I have to admit, the idea of working for MS back in the late '80s and early '90s seemed really cool at the time when I was graduating from College, but in retrospect I'm glad I didn't. (although my bank account probably isn't:-)
I met a MS mid level manager on a flight around '01 and we got to talking. I said "I think the biggest challenge MS will have in the coming years is security" He looked at me like I had two heads. Oh I would love to talk to him now, and see what he has to say.

Headline: "Nobel loser dies, committee arrested for murder" or "Nobel loser sues for wrongful early death"
Interesting that the only example that was raised by the article was funding by a private individual. Why should government take this on?

Let the free market decide!
