So a company that's working in a field where the majority of potential employees are male is employing more men over women. Maybe if comp sci/engineering/math etc fields are made more enticing for women to study in, it becomes less of an issue as they have a more diverse field to recruit from. Not that this should be a story at all - if Apple start hiring non white males just to meet arbitrary diversity targets, rather than hiring the best person for the job, then you have a story
"making graphics look modern and impressive on a 7-year-old piece of hardware" - for me, graphics have looked as good as they've ever needed to be since, ooh, Metroid Prime? This is kind of detailing exactly why modern games suck, I don't care if Call of Duty 87 looks 63% more realistic than the previous one, they're not interesting to play
My Nokia 3210 still works fine. Could use a new battery (it's lost enough charge that it only has a couple of minutes of talk time) but it's still functioning, cracked screen and everything.
Has since been decommissioned, but it served me well
Yeah, pretty much. Don't think I've ever used IE primarily for more than a few months, Netscape was pretty much my browser of choice through uni until about '03, and by the time I'd left there it can't have been long until I switched to Firebird as it was when I first got it circa 0.7.
Come to think of it, at said uni I was introduced to Pine in 2000, and it's still the only mail client I have installed, although I haven't used any mail client in the past six months

Your average joe won't really care as they'll likely want to use Windows anyway, those that don't probably have the knowhow to build their own anyway.
I'm sure the Dixie Chicks' livelihood has been threatened by both of the people who downloaded their tracks illegally.
