I'm trying to figure out whether I had a 'fight club' moment and wrote this.
I think many of us who exist where the 'rubber meets the road' in the software development process probably feel the same about CMM and the like.
It did, however, give the managers the warm fuzzy feeling that overcomes control freaks everywhere when they're sure they can track, number, file and index everything that goes on around them.
Brilliant. I have been looking for a good way to sum up my ideas and you have hit the nail directly on the head.
