"GM building a car claiming the exhaust will last forever..and it uses bolts that have a patent thread and only GM can produce"...is much more closer to what is actually going on here...
I say.. if M$ is going to make the claim that Vista is secure and no viruses can attack it... or its less prone... or whatever they are claiming these days... then WHY NOT let McAfee and the likes produce virus scanning software..... would be pretty nice to throw on TV that a year into the deployment of Vista, McAfee can confirm that there are no known viruses...
Seton Hall University has been doing a "mobile computing" program for about 5 or 6 years. Works excellent.... but the ranking systems which rate universities STILL weight the ratio of desktop computers - to - students.... which makes our IT ranking not as great as a university with no laptop program and a bunch of labs all over the place.
10.4 is compiled for powerPC... yes.
Since they are still selling PowerPC's... will 10.5 be compiled for PowerPC... yes...
OS X will be on PowerPC for at least the next two years.
I'm filing for a patent on the keyboard, everytime you type a letter, send me a nickel.
