Good question. AFAIK as long as the destination disk or partition is the same size or larger, you simply to the same as when cloning. I have only been using G4U for about a week, so I am not an expert.
Let me just say this to that. G4U. A great imaging tool. Boots from a netBSD boot CD, and can handle disk and partition imaging to and from any FTP server.
You are both missing the point here a bit. The discussion should be focused on business machines. IMHO employees workstations should be configured to allow them to do their job. (thats a period at the end there) Anything else in Windows invites time wasted by the employee screwing with things they ought not be screwing with, and time wasted by admins cleaing up after them.
Wow, so far this discussion is heading in about 6 different directions, none of which pertain to the topic. While the article may be a simple anti Windows piece, it brings up some real issues.
As a sysadmin for a medium size businesbs, I have faced this issue (not with xp home, but 2000 pro and xp pro) many times. I was hoping to see some insightful posts with approaches I had yet tried. Oh wait, forgot what site I was on for a sec.....
from TFA. This guy went ahead and implanted this chip in his hand surgicaly, but does not have any of the systems installed in his home or car for its intended purpose.
Maybe its just me, but I would have had all of that stuff in place and functioning before taking the final step of surgery, all be it minor.
You have some good ideas there. As much as I and most likely, many others, would enjoy a well implimented version of this, I doubt we will see this from Rockstar.
It just doesn't seem like their cup-o-tea. I mean, hell they dont even bother coding basic multiplayer suppport into the games. But hey, the games sell better than hotcakes, so I guess they have no incentive to do so.
The idea of a GTA3 death match is nice and all, but what about an MMORPG based GTA3? Obviously, lots of the way the game works would need to change; Larger cities, leveling up, etc. but it seems like an interesting idea to me anyhow.
This coming from someone who has never played an MMORPG before, but perhaps this would be the title to pull the monthly fees from my pocket....
I do appreciate the concern, but it was a duel boot system, and i compared the DNS info on both windows and FC3, and they both matched, and windows did not have the problem. I disabled IPV6, made sure my resolv.conf file was correct, and my roouter does not suply DNS services, it goes direct to my ISP.
There is a 4-7 second delay in receiveing the DNS response. I have searched several fedora forums and tried all the suggestions, to no avail. One was to disable IPV6 support, which also netted no results.
I hope they did something to fix the DNS resoulution issue that was shipping with the latset FC3 release.
I installed FC3 a month ago, hoping to replace my XP installation. (only distro that will work on my abit/raid mobo easily) however, after a day of searching for an answer to a simple DNS issue, i could not get it fixed.
As we all know, its small things like this that keep the average user from making the plunge.
Noone will miss them.
Who is this Noone that I keep hearing people speak of?

What are you doing Dave? I am afraid I cannot let you do that.
they come in as handy as a real book does when you are camping and run out of TP.

Check out Antarctica for an easter egg.
The city of San Francisco is reportedly looking at using street light technology to light the city street at nights...
Residents are concerned... "How are they going to cover all the street in light with just one streetlight? A flood ligth might work better..."
