I agree that computer != technology but I don't know that I would call cooking technology. To quote from Douglas Adams, "Another problem with the net is that it's still 'technology', and 'technology', as the computer scientist Bran Ferren memorably defined it, is 'stuff that doesn't work yet.' We no longer think of chairs as technology, we just think of them as chairs."
To go even one more step further I install the "View this page in IE" extension that allows them to right click on a page that won't display properly in IE and have it open for them without having to copy the URL...open IE....That also helps as a nice introduction to extensions:)
Utah already has a similar tax in effect. On their tax forms they ask you for the dollar amount you spent out of state to use in Utah so they can tax you on it. This includes items bought over the Internet.
