Green Hills Time Machine works with a Green Hills board. It's trace probing limited by the hardware. It can only do as much as the board allows it to do. Virtutech's product is based on models so it can do anything you want it to do. Plus, Time Machine can only step back so far -at least in what I've seen- whereas this simics platform supposedely can reverse back as far as you want. I talked with the Virtutech engineers and they simulate models of multiple-processor systems (they say they can simulate any system)... even complete networks of multi-processor systems with simulated traffic.
