It's a hard change for them to make as a very large percentage of the old mainframe folks just don't consider anything but the batch approach. I don't know the number of times I've tried to explain the concept of queue based 'as soon as possible' processing or some other non-batch approach to those that grew up in the lameframe/COBOL world. I hope they're taking the opportunity to decouple things and rewrite things in a more maintainable manner. Those old COBOL systems have generally turned into monolithic nightmares of spaghetti code. Even determining what they're really supposed to be doing in the code must be an epic task.

Recently Apple has been using proprietary connectors and firmware on their disks that don't allow then to report their thermal info like normal disks. If this is the case with the Time Machine as well, then you can't replace the disks yourself unless you don't mind your fans running at full speed at all times.

They're worried about the problem with Anonymous and LulSec? If they can break your security you should assume that any foreign enemies of the state have at least the same capabilities and haven't been notifying you of their success. Secure your data or get it off public networks. WikiLeaks is a separate matter, but again it could be handed to your enemies alone rather than the world in general.

There's a few other features missing as well, including Latitude. I really wish they'd rush full integration along as it's a pain supporting two accounts, and difficult to get people to switch over to your domain account once the feature is available. I'm still getting people to switch over to my domain Google Reader feed. I really appreciate the service they provide for free with the domain accounts, but I still wish it was better.

Privacy complaints (post-face blurring), pull street-view. The best way to get people to appreciate some of these services might be to disable them for specific countries. If people want them back, they can address their governments as to why they're not available and perhaps have a referendum on the matter. Just a though, and I'm not sure whether or not it's a particularly good one.
