I have a different experience. Everything basically worked out of the box once the PABX was set up correctly. My one gripe was that the drivers were only certified against a particular kernel version and the years went by without any updates on the horizon. Three months ago, the drivers were finally updated. But it's good to hear that the code may become open source; perhaps the drivers can then be kept up-to-date in a more timely way.
