I always found the mutants to be the most facinating, the platypus being number 1, what other creature is as much of a mix as it is? Makes you wonder what kind of mishaps or strange surroundings must have been in place for such a creature to have evolved.

Looks like it's completely analog, no digital gyro or actuators. No radar... No night vision... No talking computer... this is nothing like a mech, more like an upright motor vehicle, aka a freaking car.
I don't consider something a mech unless it has at least a few of these things. Not to mention the fact that I can walk faster than this thing, it has literally no use whatsoever, not even a leap in design... just a pet project by an amateur engineer. I would be impressed if this thing didn't use wheels and an unneccesarily fiction-based design to get around.
Not only that, but carnivores tend to have an extraordinary sense of smell, having survived as long as t-rex's did would lead you to believe they had a sense of smell likely equal or greater than your average dog.
Simple really, M$ likes to plan for the future, and the future holds super thin disposable computers as cheap as paper that can display reactive content, so that newspapers and corporations alike can be immersed in the news without sitting in front of a computer.

Oh please, there is no robot design possible with a simple singular traction system that is virtually unstoppable. There are many many area where such a robot with a snake-like tread structure will simple be unable to get anywhere at all.
I would be impressed if there was a use for anything but reconnaisance from a robot that can deal with as many situations as this one supposedly can however.
