Wikipedia has no advertisement value for us at all besides the fact someone could search for us and find us in wikipedia if wanted. I would suspect maybe what 2 or 3 visitors a month from them? This fight is more about the backwards system in reguards to anything that might be slightly controversial. It is clear there are people out there that do not like us, that is perfectly ok because the BS that spews out of our mouth might offend some people. However, if you want to take that up you should post it in the article not mark it for deletion. That appears to be wikipedia's problem right now in reguards to anything controversial. Just look at some of the religious and political battles going on now. There needs to be a way for both sides to get their opinion in instead of just locking it and letting only those who are willing to invest hours into their system a way to comment. That or they need to change their little slogon.

#1 We are using Audacity. The problem is the $10 POS of Mic we are using and the fact we are doing it in a house with fans and dogs. As you might of noticed there are no ads on the site and everything is coming out of my pocket. The bandwidth hit is going to be another fun thing that will come out of my pocket.
The point of the podcast is trying to have fun while talking about work. Some people just need to learn how to relax and unite instead of trying to divide everyone against each other.

*l* Maybe the Avalanch post is a tad off. But the other 2, can you tell me you love Vendors and it doesn't feel like you are trying to hump a football?
Yeah, I will admit the last podcast was not really that great. After the first 10 minutes it gets better. What can I say, I am sicker than a dog and we did it around 1 AM with a $10 Mic and a FREE encoding program.
If you have any comments on how to make it better such as software and mics to use, let me know.
They should just stop blocking everything, remove and QoS system they might have running, and any antivirus systems and just let it all in and out and let things crawl to a hault.
As far as the linux issue, perhaps a middle ground can be found where the University would supply and keep an uptodate listing of ISOs. I know it wouldn't be perfect, but then less bandwidth would be spent going out to retreive these when it could just chew up the local network.
There is only so much pipe and there are a lot of people and machines to abuse the pipe. Should be happy the packets continue to flow. If you don't like it you can always get an apartment and pay for you own:-).
