Firefox will have offline browser mode where things like gmail.com, google office and other websites will still function to a degree while not connected to the net. The solves the offline/online thing. Microsoft will have to think hard, because once this is implemented, then web applications can work offline, regardless of your platform. That's my NZD$0.2c.
If the app knows it is being pirated, use an embedded http:/// request to a page, then post the IP, and other possible info (any info of files on the pc) to identify the pirate and send to the BSA or other authority.
Devon Rex cats are quite good for people with hayfeaver. I suffer from hayfeaver and have two Devon Rex cats. They don't set off my hayfeaver unlike other cats i've had. They are really smart, and act more like dogs rather than cats. If you want to buy one, it will need constant attention, so buy two to keep each other company:)
I installed this (off the cover of a mag.) I was very supprised for a desktop distro how it just worked. I couldn't get over how even my bluetooth USB dongle was detected and worked. Setting Samba and VNC up was done and the firewall set to let connections through. Updating the system just worked. I've tried Mandrake, Slackware, and Redhat, and i'm going to stick with Suse.
I hope Novell the best for this, when i have some spare cash i'll be purchasing it to show my support. I think that MS have a bit to worry about on the desktop front.
