    so whats the reason for their networks being so slow? I wouldnt imagine distance or anything like that... Yet this is really nice, maybe they can start some high-bandwidth web-tv type thing:) Maybe that can be the next big this (yes it may already be there but not really efficient or widely used)

    So how is java compared to ruby? Is ruby a lot faster or on par with the speed of Java (on most systems)? And how does ruby compare to java at the moment? I wonder if its worth switching over from java to ruby..

    both seem OK, nothing great. Running Gnome 2.8 and some other old stuff (yea i consider 2.8 kinda old now). Now whats nice is ubuntu:) Rock stable debian distrobution with the newest packages and out-of-the-box working state.

    This isnt necessarly bad but i would imagine big companies to take advantage of this. But then again when that happens we will all jump up and cry and something will happen to get them back on track:P Right? My DSL from verizon doesn't come with anything as of right now. Dont worry we will win :P

    We always have to talk about patents don't we? Someone will probably come up with an easy way to check patents...(easier..) Patents were a problem from the beginning.
