This is my understanding - just in case someone reads this even later than me!
Galaxies in the expanding universe speed away from each other at many times faster than the speed of light. They achieve this without breaking relativity because the motion is due to the intervening space-time expanding, rather than the galaxies moving through space-time.
Star Trek's Warp Drive concept is meant to allow FTL travel by Warping space-time, while the ship itself travels through space-time at less than the speed of light
If something like this is done right it could be a great thing for OSS (IMHO).
I'm sure lots of people here, like me, would love to spend all their time pottering about with OSS, but can't because they need to put food on the table.
So they end up getting jobs in the commercial software industry - Brothers, this is no way to run a revolution!;-)
Does anyone know if there is an Open Source copyleft style licence for music?
When people get p*ssed off about M$ they move over to Linux - maybe people need this kind of alternative for music too?
Music companies originally came into being because musicians needed someone to promote them and press and distribute their records - the internet offers better ways to solve these problems, so why exactly do we still need these people?
