I have a 3G card that I use for mobile internet access, and it's suprisingly fast (I can get up to 200kb/s sometimes). It's supposedly guaranteed at 384kb/s. GPRS seems subbstantially slow (like dial-up slow), and it kicks in when I can't get cellphone reception on the 3G card.
Is that kind of service not available in the states?
