The reply from General Chair (Prof. Nagib Callaos) makes sense to me. They rejected one of the bogus paper and other one was accepted on non-reviewed basis which say that Authors of the papers are the only one responsible for the contents of the paper.
I don't know what these MIT people are trying to prove. They are just being too smart unnecessarily.
