If you ride a rollercoaster and your too tall your head will hit the structure, and your seat will be too small for your ass. Its the same with MSN. But there are better rollercoaster's, like that big wood one, but its an hours drive from here.

Why would you want to visit MSN? If your too tall for the rollercoaster, then try and sneek into the beer tent with the rest of the grown ups.

We have been changeing the genetic makeup of plants and animals for centuries. Most common farmyard animals would find it imposable to survive or even reproduce in the wild. I would rather we create new "species" of animals and plants to supply us with orgainc alterintives to "industrial" producucts. I am sure that the German Beef (beef sales are down 50% from fear of BSE) farmers would welcome the new market for GE produced products like goat silk. And enviromentaly speaking I'd rather have some goats makeing silk than a factory and all its dependant industrys just to make some rope. As for the "doing irreparable harm to the natural world" I don't see how farming and proccesing of animals is any more harm full than what the dariy industry is now...

You want to have every thing the way nature (in your view) intended, go live in the jungle or african plain with nothing but your naked self, and don't even think of picking up a rock to hit somthing with it. Because that would be un-natural...

The silk being just a protine, I suspect it would be easy to recycle into more silk of less quality... I think, I am not a biochem guy
