Agreed. These articles never have pictures. People need pictures next to text. Thats why picture books were created. Give me a photo dammit.

Why Do You Block Ads?

You're paying $50 for the right and ability to access content. People who make the content don't get any part of that $50. One way or another content is going to get paid for whether it be through ads or subscriptions.
If I were to say build a machine that blocks all the commercials from being shown on TV. How can I expect my favorite show to be able to hire actors, a crew, etc. to continue filming if they get no money at all?
This is not to say I like ads but if you go to a website and like their content either turn off your ad blocker or send them some money otherwise you arn't doing them a favor by visiting.
They arn't conflicting opinions. When I said you in my post I was speaking to anyone who would read it not you specifically. What I was trying to point out was a way to focus on prevention vs. reaction and punishment.
"Criminals thrive on society's understanding and leniency."
Have you ever been to jail? I don't mean incarcerated but just visited to see what its like. I'd be suprised if you did. The consequences of breaking the law are meaningless unless you understand them. If you hack someone and you know you're going to go to jail for a year is that really going to stop you? Probably not because you have no idea what jail is and no memory in your mind to stop you. Thats really what punishment is, a way to stop people from breaking the law a second time. So why don't we stop wasting time and have high school field trips to jails. Scare the crap out of the kids early in their life so when they are going to commit a crime they have an understand of the punishment involved. Be proactive in "preventing crime" instead of punishing it after the fact.
By definition Faith is "Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing."(from dictionary.com). Both science and religion are forms of faith. Even with the logical process that science uses there can be unknown variables that could disprove scientific theory.
How I see it is life is a series of questions like a test at school. Both science and religion are different answer keys for that test. As humans our brains need to have answers to those questions for life to make sense. The main difference between a test in school and this "life test" is you can't fail this "life test" because no one is grading it. Not answering a question is just as good as answering it. Personally, I would rather admit to myself that there may not be an answer then use faith to put one in. There is a lot of power in not answering and if you can wrap your brain around that then you eventually realize that faith is by definition ridiculous.
Humans by nature fear what they don't understand and faith squashes that fear. What people don't seem to realize is admitting that they don't know squashes the fear in the same way. Pick something that scares you because you don't know what it is. Now say to yourself "I don't know what is it but thats ok". Doesn't that feel better?
