Greetings from the World Championship Kinetic Sculpture Race: This year, our 37th the course is 42 miles of road, sand, mud, water (nearly 5 miles in the water), thrills, spills, chills and probably some rain as we are located in the beautiful redwood coast of far northern California. The race begins in Arcata and ends in Ferndale... three days and two campouts later!
We have all sorts of history on our page, plus descriptions of our Kinetic Lab where machines are built and the Museum where they go to die.
We crown the most talented, most rutabaga like contestant who offers herself (or this year, himself) to the public for their approval and acclamation as our rutabaga queen. They receive a hand-made crown from Glorious Founder, Hobart Brown.
Do visit us... whether electronically or as Tom Jones and crew did last year IN PERSON!
