You're not taking into account the motion sensitivity. If the controller were two-handed, then you'd need to move both hands for one movement. It would be like using two of those one-handed NES controllers you describe, and having to press the same button on both for it to register.

Oh, I've played the game. You, apparently, have played so few shmups that you think Ikaruga's aspect ratio is somehow an exception to the rule.

    It is not.

Then I guess you're not the first in line!

I can see how someone might dislike Sin & Punishment. But with the game's unique, well-balanced mechanics (melee in a rail shooter?), imaginative and varied levels (one is as much a sidescroller as a rail shooter), impressive atmosphere and graphics (nearly every review I've seen has mentioned the "Blue Raid" level, because it's that good), layered difficulty (there are different approaches to nearly every area depending on whether you care more about safety or score), amazing art and plot (it might not be to everyone's tastes, but I loved it)... unless they couldn't handle the controls and gave up before even getting into the game, or they just want to make people mad, I can't see how someone could dismiss the game as "utter crap".

You could think of the "Sin & Punishment" award as "I didn't get it so I'm at least going to inflame the fanboys to get something out of this game." Except for Sin & Punishment which was actual crap.

Whatever. Sin & Punishment is the finest game in its underappreciated genre. Maybe you didn't get it? ;)

Oh, please. If you can't spell "shmup" correctly, you think Ikaruga was the hardest shmup ever (maybe for score, but certainly not for completion), and you dislike vertical shmups... well, you're really not much of a fan.

The roof of your mouth is particularly sensitive; it's part of the body's temperature monitors. It's this sensor that triggers brain freeze when you eat something cold.

Really? That's interesting, 'cause I don't get brain freeze, and it doesn't cause any pain when I eat hot pizza and burn the roof of my mouth. I've never realized that they might be related.

We won't let him play Halo 2 no matter how he begs, because you play as Covenent and shoot at humans, and we don't think he's ready for that.

Have you played Halo 2? You don't shoot at humans any more than you did in Halo 1.

Personally, I don't have an HDTV, and I don't plan to get one anytime soon. I don't know how many people think as I do, but I'm just fine with Nintendo's lack of HD support.
