I understand exactly what you are saying, however this wouldn't be a true test of the GPL laws. Carmack and the Free Software Foundation have a lot of power and in Carmack's case money as well. This mod author is probably some 18 year old high school kid without a world class lawyer.
I don't fully agree with you. I do think that woman either are discouraged from the technical field or just generally are not interested. At, my high school there are very few girls, if any, who are interested in computers. There are,however quite a few interested in Math and Science.
If there are write ins anything is possible. i Remember time held a man of the year poll a while back. with a few voting scripts we managed to get dust puppy to the top. I'de hope there would be mroe security with a governmentvote, but there still could be problems. For instance if there was a call for a revote how would that be done? Have everyone vote again?
hrm try reading the past week's userfreindly cartoons in hexadecimal format. We should be able to put the pcitures together in our heads. Some more guests would be cool. Maybe... Rob's family. Random bums off the street that look like they might be linux user if they only had a computer.
Have you ever considered writing another commander keen game? Maybe a 3D FPS. Or are their problems with licensing and Apogee? It would be great if you realeased another Keen game. I grew up on them and have been waiting for a new one.
