It seems to me that we can't even agree on whether or not certain parts of the GPL apply here. If we, as the community, can't agree, how is an average developer (non-lawyer) supposed to determine whether or not a section applies to their work?
I agree that what these guys are doing seems against the//intent// of the GPL, but I can't determine if it's against the//written text// of the GPL.
