This doesn't necessarily relate to browser technology. Perhaps there's aprt od suitespot that accesses databases. Part of The netcenter site, i'm sure, comes from Oracle as well as LDAP. I've been working in netscape doing Database I/O for a n internal tool, however, I'm not sure if they can be sued for a tool, that'll only be used inside the company, or perhaps AOL. I'm quite surprised that such an established corporation would try to fuck themselves over as far as most of the Free Software Community is concerned. I'd see this as blatant pandering to Microsoft's will, in order to gain favour, if this is the only suit. However, if they try to sue everyone who uses Database I/O ? The author of DBI.pm would be a master criminal overnight. >:| - DoC
Anyone who's familiar with this sort of rubbish (i.e. who gets BBC) can probably predict the outcome of this. The BBC itself would probably do a good job of it. However, I can see a jazzed-up set with an annoying female presenter talking to malda saying such peurile rubbish as "So, you have a big pooter then, wahey *nudges co-presenter*" and "De inturnet is big, izznit? Eh, eh?". I could be wrong on this, but if british TV is anything to go by, I wouldn't imagine justice would be done to slashdot. - DoC
Just a question of modifying your mail/news client to say every one of your mails and postings are fine, nothng ddogy about them at all:) Then you could argue that your standards are different from everyone elses. It's completely workaroundable. - DoC
GIMP... what's it good for?

That's all very well for those that can afford it, but if you just want to make a dang picture, rather than a work of art, gimp kicks the ass off of anything else i've seen on any platform, period. As for features, well, we'll assume you've not used it too often:) There is absolutely nothing missing there, i've never been disappointed by it...
