One thing misspellers (both the defiant and the careless) fail to "get" is the diminished value of their opinions and contributions over time if their comments cannot be easily retrieved by a search engine. Little has irritated me more over the years than Googling (or using DejaNews before it) and having to anticipate all of the possible misspellings of a particular topic in order to get reasonably complete search results.
The second-best way to take yourself out of the internet gene pool (or kill-filed, banned, etc.) is to be a troll; the best way is to be a troll who can't spell...
