I ordered my son a new PC and it had vista home preinstalled. After just two weeks he asked me to wipe it and install Ubuntu for him. Granted he had Ubuntu prior to this PC, but it was on a 500MHz with 256mb of RAM but he said he still liked it better and seemed faster.
I put Ubuntu on it last night and now he's in Heaven. 3.2GHz with a gig of RAM. That's by boy!;-)
