Wireless Security or lack of it isn't even being mentioned. That is where the big cost will come from. This will be a breading grounds for hackers and like minded people trying to steal info for identity theaft.

While I see your point that this could be a great way to have users upgrade to the new version I also see the point of not showing how to exploit the flaw as well. If it is indeed a flaw then I'm sure the flaw has been exposed on the Internet or irc channels.

I have several friends that work at Microsoft and of course they don't use Firefox at work but most don't use it at home either. It surprises me how some people can be so blind to not even try an alternative product that has been getting rave reviews. I'm a huge MS guy but my broswer has been Firefox for sometime now.
