Actually, the LOFAR IBM BlueGene "Stella" IS faster thanthe "Mare Nostrum", the IBM JS20 cluster in Barcelona.
I know. I have seen the numbers since I am the intitiator of and project leader for LOIS (LOFAR Outrigger in Scandinavia; www.lois-space.net), a space physics supplement to LOFAR proper and where we also have a JS20 cluster.
