Competition is a good thing, but it would be nice to see Yahoo come up with something completely original instead of always following along someone else's coattails.
Um lets see...... Make money doing what we are doing or be innovative.......money?
One thing I just recently learned when trying to recover files from a bad boot sector drive along the same lines is Windows security for protecting profile specific data (my documents etc.) can just as easily be hacked using nothing more than windows. All you have to do is load the drive on another windows machine, when you try to view the files and you get an "access denied" message, merely go through the advanced security settings on the folder and there is the option to apply your own security settings directly over the old ones. Bam, easy access.
If the author's point was to show how Google can be used to invade privacy, I'm not sure why Google would throw a hissy fit.
Are they saying you shouldn't use Google to invade privacy? If so, don't allow it in the first place.
Or is he just afraid people will learn he likes Elton John.
Hasn't everyone googled their own name? Like he didn't know what was out there was out there. If he was going to throw a power fit why didn't he just block the sites from google searches.
Hm. I'd have to say that if I have employees that I feel it necessary to watch their every working moment to make sure they're working, there is most likely a major problem with my hiring process, since I'm obviously grabbing the least-trustworthy schmoes I can find.
I hear you but at the same time you have to consider the distractions that people face at home. Even people that own there own businesses and have everything invested in the success of the company find it hard to produce an 8 hour work day similar to one that is required at the workplace. Don't ask me how I know......
This was discussed in the previous article but the material is coated in a material that can withstand thousands of degrees of heat. It would not burn off. Even the smallest stray piece of material can cause disruption upon re-entry.
On a Mac, I have the same results whether I use Safari, Opera, Firefox or IE 5.2.
Wow, that is so weird that a microsoft product doesn't view well on a mac........
Does everyone know what we are talking about here.....the INTERNET. A public, searchable, anyone with a 28.8 modem accessible outlet...
If you put naked pictures of yourself in the front yard do you not expect people to come by and gawk and take pictures and remember 5 years down the road "hey, that's the guy that put naked pictures in his front yard". Why should the internet be any different? If you are going to post something in a public forum you have to be prepared for the public to see it and to deal with what that means. I don't see archiving of a public information source any different than five guys sitting around a poker table laughing about a stupid commercial they saw 5 years before.
