You can try to get ASTER data (Digital Elevation Model of 30 meters resolution) to complete SRTM locally, however with less quality (there are no post-treatments on them), and a very very reduce coverage...
Currently the coverage is of only seven DEM on Ghana. But maybe it's the geographical position you are looking for...
