Because Putin is a neo-Soviet gangster, perhaps? And he's pissed off because the Ukrainian people have tossed out their dictator-in-waiting after the latter's sudden volte-face revealed him to be Putin's creature, maybe?
I keep/home on a separate physical drive (HDD for now). Makes an upgrade or moving to a new machine much more pleasant. I use an SVN repo for my backups
The boot time is incredible. The new box also builds 8 different versions of $popular_foss_db from source, one after another, in about 25 minutes. Takes about 2 hours on my laptop, using exactly the same OS, build script, compiler options, gcc version, etc.
(Now if I can just figure out why nouveau does not like my graphics card, and why X doesn't like the Nvidia driver, I'll be a really happy guy.)
It's not difficult to troll someone whose entire political-economic philosophy can be summed up as, "Because I don't want to share anything with anyone else, it's wrong for anyone else to share anything, too."
I've been sending money internationally for years. I've never had it take longer than a day or so. Perhaps your country should consider joining the international banking system.
Yeah, that business with the Hindenburg was just a passing crisis which in no way halted the worldwide adoption of zeppelins for long distance passenger travel.
(NB: I am a lifelong dirigible fanboi. But I recognise the difference between what I think is cool and what is real.)
Ever consider what the word "consume" actually means and how that's been twisted by the marketing types to imply that your experience of something implies that you've somehow, magickally used it up?

Vladimir Putin was trained as a KGB officer to serve the interests of the Soviet state. And yes, he does that in an exemplary fashion.
It's pretty obvious that Plan A (draw in Yanukovych) has backfired and we've now gone to Plan B (foment unrest as an excuse to intervene).

I'd just like to point out that 3 former Soviet Socialist Republics are already members of NATO, and have been for a decade now.
Really? How was that little fiasco in Georgia resolved, again? Oh yeah - Russia ensured the safety of ethnic and national Russians, and withdrew.
Did they?
I see. So it's fair to say that whenever some right-wing shit happens to come out in favour of something you also favour, you'll instantly disavow it?
Oh, yes, that is very sensible.
What, you'd rather use a worse method?
No, I'd rather use something that is actually... well, you know, convenient.

Just because you choose to wear ideological blinders doesn't mean that I do.
Just bought a new system that came with the first SSD I've ever owned.
Been wondering whether or not Samsung was a good choice by the folks who built it for me.
I'm guessing this means that it was. Thanks for that. :)
Not so loud! I've house payments to make.
Passive-agressive much?

There already exist 'stay put' batteries, so it's not an engineering problem, but rather one of design.
I think you left out a word---the Somali's what? And to which Somali do you refer? (Last I heard there were quite a few of them.)
Will this herald the rise of intercontinental hobos?
Now that might be a really entertaining way to spend my retirement. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Right, I think we get the idea.
History is in the making.
That sounds very much like what they were saying around 7:20 PM on 6 May 1937 in Lakehurst, NJ...
And there is nothing stopping the government from issuing gold dollars, or you from acquiring them.
I know this because I have a gold dollar. Interesting because the face value is currently ~1/1300th of the value of the metal.

I'd rather save my earnings in dollars.
When I'm spending it though, I'll use whatever's convenient to get the money to the person I'm paying. That's where Bitcoin can come in handy.
That is the funniest thing I've read all week.
^^^ Bingo. Please mod this up.
