Grow up people this is all about $$ and promotions They cannot pay the salaries that private sector can provide for doing the same work. There is no promotion process in place for good tech employees, you get lumped in with the same pool as everyone else for promotions.
For all the morality people, try to find some day about how much information Google and Facebook have on you and your personal movements, and then talk about the "evilness" of a surveillance state coming out of silicon valley.
