    MagicSN, let's get a grip on ourselves. No way is that the 'typical' Amiga. You're talking about the fastest PowerUp accelerated system available. The 'typical' Amiga doesn't even have a PowerUp board and uses pure 68K. I have two Amigas that most people would consider very high end, an A4000T and an A3000T, both with 68060/50Mhz CPUs and lots of RAM, with CV64-3D boards. They both kick unholy ass, but in no way compare with modern PCs and Macs at CPU-heavy stuff. PowerUp narrows the gap, and the G3/G4 accels will catch us up to Macs, but Athlon hit 1Ghz, so there's still a ways to go. The baseline 'typical Amiga' is an A1200 with a 68030 CPU. A fine machine, but nothing like what you described above. We both love our miggies and love to promote their virtues, but we should keep ourselves within the confines of reality here. :>
