-No on the fly spell checking (I fell to my knees and gave thanks to the lizzard when the Thunderbird 1.5 beta came out)

    >yah, that does kind of suck but I get by if I click the button when I'm done, It might even be faster for me because I don'd always have to go back and fix things as soon and the squigly line shows up (I just can't help myself)

-No filters and user defined folders on Gmail. Searching it fine, but seeing which emails come from developers for 15 different projects, product managers, business partners, or DQA at one glance is essential for me.

    > ask and ye shall recieve, google has it: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answe r=6579&query=filters&topic=0&type=f

-I want to be able to double click attachments without having to go through right-click, dialog box, ...(Yes, I know what I am doing and haven't gotten a virus that way for the last 15 years)

    >gmail has that too, only it's a single click!

-I send and get a few hundred non-spam emails every day. The 50 conversations per page simply doesn't cut it.

    >Troublesome I admit, but with the labels and filters they are nicely sorted while remaining together, and the single click it takes to view the second page isn't that bad...

-A comment on Yahoo's "see all the messages in your inbox on one screen": I move every email out of the inbox either through filters, or once I read them, one of my colleagues has about 90,000 in hers. So that doesn't work for either of us.

    >I'm not arguing for yahoo here so I have nothing to say.

-Having multiple messages in differnt threads open is a pain. Even when using tabs.

    >I guess that's personal preferance but I havent had any trouble with that.

-I like to have local copies of my mail. On the one hand, it lets me find stuff when the T3 or out DNS server is down, and I can mine them using other programs or even write some quick code to do it.

    >google desktop, problem solved. it has a record of all of your e-mails specifically for offline viewing, very usefull.

It is no upstart, I have been using it for years and although it is newer then yahoo or MS it dominates them both in qualaty and quantity of features. can you search books with ms or yahoo? can you attach .exe files? yes, unfortunatly that is the one place google irritates me. Otherwise google does everything amazingly well and remains a good company that appears friendly, not something I would say about MS.

MOd chips are not illegal, nor is softmodding. The point of a mod chip is not to copy games or to get around security, it is to increase the entertainment value of my, personal electronics. I am not stealing, I an not infringing copywrite I am using my 300 dollar investment to it's fullest capacity and no law should prevent me from doing that, It hurts nobody, it only makes me happier. By banning modding it would break my right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happieness. If it helps me achieve happieness without stopping another persons life, liberty, or happieness then It should not be stopped. I realise now that this is slightly off-topic but it had to be said. I appolagise for my terrible spellign and word choice, but I am very tired so just try to read through it.

Ok... Liberals are people looking for change into "equality", they usually believe in bigger government and more laws. Consercatives are looking to go back to when things were better, smaller government less rules. Rebublicans are a party (group of people with the same beliefs who produce a candidate for precidency or other elected offices). They are supposed to be Conservative. Democrats are another party who are supposed to be liberal. Every american presiden't has come from one of these two parties, they are efectively the only options. However we do not have a two party system, over the years they have merged until they are now the same, leaving us with a one party system. Someone mentioned that we should have a non-white-non-male president. Personally I disagree, we should not choose a president based on anything but how good a leader they will be. I think a good symbolic step would be electing a third partry (non-Republican-non-Democratic) president, and freeing us from choosing the lesser evil, allowing us to choose the best man(which means human, man or woman).

I am the kid who plays the shooter video games, and I haven't been prone to any violence.Fairy tales are more likely to cause violence than shooters. You hear tales at a very impresionable age, and they are mostly about violence, cutting tales off mice, beating children, eating entire families (and when the wolf is cut open, they are all fine, killing them won't hurt them!) and more. So instead of banning a form of entertainment, maybe they should be burning books! Or they could just accept that shooters are one of the lowest contributers to violence and let us be happy, parents can look at the label and limit there children as they see fit, that is not the governments place.
