I can't wait to buy all those non-Vista compatible machines for cheap!! If people really do adopt, it will be great fun for me. Cluster anyone?

I hate MS, but this is simply not true. A call to MA to activate XP on a new machine takes about 3 minutes.

Comments like these convince me that these people don't love America, they love power. They would happily live the rest of their lives as dictators and find no ethical problem. Remember what GWB said about running the country, and how it would be easier if he was dictator.

When I was in middle school we had a program called LEAP for students that scored well on their aptitude tests. When I was chosen for the program I was a 'C' student, and I attribute it to how amazingly dumbed down the curriculum was. I enjoyed it emmensly. One of the ideas in the program was to give a pretest before each upcoming section. If you scored an A on the pretest, that would be your grade and you could do whatever you wanted while the rest of the class had normal class time( of course it had to be something academic ). It was great for me as I could spend an hour or two studying the night before the pretest and then safely ignore the following bullshit that they call school. For a while it was actually educational to go to school. A few years later, because parents of dumb kids that studied 10 hours a day and got 'A's couldn't understand why their kids weren't considered gifted, the program was canceled.

Stick to Open Source and you will never have this problem. Then again, most open source will compile natively. I guess this would be useful for that custom app that you paid a lot of money to have written.

Haha. I've been working on it today and figured out how to get my old images working on linux AND how to edit them via mounting with a loop device. No need for winimage!!! Thanks alot for the help!! BTW. The problem I was having was with the images WinImage created. memdisk was saying it wasn't a bootable disk. But as stated above I don't need it( which is great because I am a big GNU supporter. )

I am currently setting up something very similar to what you describe. In the past we used 2000 Server and Intels PXE software, but now I am trying to get the DHCP&PXE onto linux. I tried using making a floppy image with winimage(same floppy I used with the Windows box) but it didn't work. How did you make your floppy for the linux PXE server?
