How feasible are the use of ocean currents that makes and stores electricity?
What is the efficiency of that?
What are the enviromental consequences of such industrial equipment?
Can you electrolyze ocean water and split it up to hydrogen directly?
Except for the enviromental repurcussions I don't see too many pitfalls, there would be an around the clock energy source as opposed to solar power and I could see near total automation except for maintenance which could be very low with the right mix of sensors and clever engineering.
The transport of hydrogen an issue but perhaps there could be an option of a hyrogen pipe that connects to a city.
Also, instead of talking about using electricity to produce hydrogen, how do we increase the efficiency of burning hydrogen to overcome the initial waste of energy?
